Australia's only certified professional Lego builder has immortalized Andrew Walker's Round 18 screamer over Essendon's Jake Carlisle by constructing a Lego mosaic.

Pascoe Vale South resident Ryan McNaught is one of only 13 people worldwide to hold the title 'Certifield Professional Lego builder'. Some of his previous creations include a 10,000-piece Darth Vader, a Qantas 8280 Airbus with moveable motors and a 170,000-brick scale model of Melbourne's Flinders Street Station.

McNaught's latest masterpiece is 3.2m tall and contains 100,000 Lego bricks.

The subject of McNaught's piece, Andrew Walker, visited the display on the weekend, describing the work of art as "awesome".

'Andrew Walker's Lego Mark' is on display outside ACMI at Federation Square for the next two weeks.
