Carlton will field the same 22 who took to the field in last Saturday night’s Adelaide match at Etihad Stadium for tomorrow night’s contest with Sydney at the SCG.

The Blues’ listed emergencies - Setanta O’hAilpin, Dennis Armfield and the recently-elevated international rookie Zach Tuohy - have all made the flight to Sydney.

Of some concern is the fitness of Chris Yarran, who was forced from the fray with injury against the Crows, but as Carlton General Manager Football Operations Steven Icke explained: “We’ll give him (Yarran) every possible chance to be right to play”.

Rain greeted the Carlton players on arrival at Mascot Airport this afternoon, and as Icke explained “they’re predicting showers tomorrow”. That said, the Carlton team boasts a flexibility for rain, hail or shine as it endeavours to post the club’s first victory over the Swans at that venue since Round 7, 1993.

On that occasion, the Blues meted out a 44-point hiding, in what was Justin Madden’s 200th senior appearance.
