TWO players have been selected for the initial AFL Players' 22under22 squad.

Mimi Hill and Keeley Sherar have caught the selectors' eyes after impressive 2024 campaigns.

Sherar played every game for the Blues this season, averaging 22 disposals and seven tackles a game.

The 21-year-old was selected for the extended All-Australian squad last year, as well as winning the Coaches’ Award and finishing fourth in the Club’s 2023 Best and Fairest.

Since then, Sherar has continued to flourish, putting her body on the line and using her speed and class to move the ball out of the middle.

Co-vice captain Mimi Hill also had a strong season, playing all games bar one in 2024.

Playing in a new role across half back, Hill averaged 23 disposals and six intercepts and was key for kickstarting transitions to the forward half.

Loving the opportunity to add another string to her bow, the co-vice captain embraced the defensive role, using her natural flair on the outside and speed to help her teammates.

This is the third time Hill has been nominated for the side, with Sherar notching up her second nomination in as many seasons.
