The NAB AFL Rookie Draft will be held on Tuesday December 7th and when completed the Carlton playing list for 2011 will be finalised. Carlton will have four rookie selections available in the draft on Tuesday morning.

The Blues will not be involved in the Pre-season Draft being held following the Rookie Draft, indeed only six clubs, Gold Coast Suns, West Coast, Richmond, Essendon, Hawthorn and Fremantle will participate in the Pre-season Draft (in that order).

Carlton’s first selection in the Rookie Draft will be at number 18, with further selections at number 35, 51 and 66 with the final selection, number 78, already committed to Blake Bray via the NSW Scholarship Rookie.

Greater Western Sydney will have the first eight selections in the Rookie Draft, followed by Gold Coast Suns and then the selection will be in the reverse order of the 2010 AFL ladder. The draft will be conducted online by the AFL Football Operations Department running the drafts from the AFL Offices, commencing with the Pre-season draft at 10.00am with all 18 clubs linked electronically.
