Joined Carlton via the 2010 National Draft with Carlton’s 4th round selection, number 70 overall. A mature age recruit, Duigan turned 27 in September, he made his debut in round one against Richmond at the MCG and played 22 games for the season, missing two games with a calf injury.

Played all 24 games in 2011 to take his total to 223 AFL matches, 170 with Carlton and was very unlucky to miss selection in the All Australian team. Scotland stood down from the leadership group prior to the season to concentrate on playing and not only did his football thrive but his unofficial leadership role was important for the playing group.
