Blues head to Benalla
The Carlton players will head to Benalla on Monday for the 2011 Community Camp.
Michael Jamison said the players were looking forward to the two days in Benalla.
“We are looking forward to spending time with the local community in Benalla. The Community Camp provides a great opportunity to meet with local people, in particular our visits to the schools and community centres during our two day visit.
“We certainly hope everyone enjoys our visit and the experience of having an AFL team in Benalla, I know we will benefit from being a part of the local community and hope we leave a very positive impression,” said Michael Jamison.
A civic reception will be held at lunchtime on Monday to welcome the Carlton players to Benalla and then the players will be involved in a number of community and school visits. On Monday afternoon players will visit local high schools, special schools, hospitals and aged care facilities before conducting a Super Clinic at the Benalla Showgrounds.
On Monday evening groups of players will be at local football club functions in the Benalla area - Benalla Saints, Benalla All Blacks, Tatong, Swanpool and Goorambat Clubs will host Carlton players at these special functions.
On Tuesday visits will be made to seven different Primary Schools around Benalla in the morning and then in the afternoon four schools in the Euroa area will host the Carlton players.
