“I saw on the Carlton Facebook page that lots of people had written messages of support so I just wanted to say a huge thank you and that it means a lot,” he said.
“Everything is going really well so far and I will keep everybody updated on my progress.”
Sam will undergo a six week course of chemotherapy and said he was looking forward to re-joining his teammates out on the field
“I can’t wait to get back out there, so will hopefully be out with the boys really soon.”
