Bio: A medium defender who kicks extremely well on his preferred left foot and provides great dash from defence, O’Keefe won All-Australian selection following the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.

Jason McCartney says: Rhys played across half-back early in the championships for SA and I also saw him play a bit more through the midfield later on. He has a penetrating left foot and runs really hard and straight at the ball; there's never any deviation and he's a real inside player. In the first game he had 20-odd disposals but I think the thing that impressed me most was his ability to go and win the hard footy.
