Josh Bootsma, Andrew Collins and Chris Yarran will all be conspicuous by their presence at Visy Park this Saturday, in representing the Northern Blues against Geelong when the ball is bounced at 2pm.

Both Collins and Yarran turned out for Carlton in the recent contest with West Coast at Patersons Stadium, with Bootsma the emergency. All three players will benefit for the weekend run in the lead-up to the Round 14 match with Hawthorn under lights at the MCG.

Jeremy Laidler will also make his return to football by way of the Northern Blues-Geelong match, having missed the last eight matches due to a knee injury sustained in Carlton’s round four match against Essendon in April.

Other notables to take the field against Geelong are Paul Bower, Ed Curnow, Kane Lucas, Jordan Russell and Bret Thornton, with Dylan Buckley, Frazer Dale, Patrick McCarthy, Andrew McInnes and Luke Mitchell flying the flag for the Blues’ youth.
