The 25-man Carlton squad has held its final training session for the week in preparation for tomorrow’s Elimination Final against Essendon at the MCG.

The selected 22 plus the three emergencies, Bower, Lucas and Tuohy had a short, sharp session in cold conditions at Visy Park in front of an enthusiastic crowd of Carlton supporters. Also looking on from inside the warm up area was the injured Matthew Kreuzer who will miss tomorrow’s game with a foot injury.

Much of the interest from the media and supporters was on Michael Jamison who convinced everyone he was ready to go for the big game. He was in a small group of players getting some extra touch with the football prior to the session commencing and showed the week’s rest has done him the world of good. Brett Ratten confirmed Jamo will play in defence on Sunday.

Not surprising was the sight of Chris Judd out before the rest of the team warming up as he prepared for his 14th AFL final. Heath Scotland is the only other player in tomorrow’s team to have played more than two AFL finals, Scotland will line up for his 9th AFL final tomorrow.

A relaxed Brett Ratten spoke with the media prior to the session and said the Club was not feeling the pressure as it was a benchmark for the club to play a final in Melbourne and he believes the Elimination Final losses in the previous two years are sitting in the back of the players’ minds and they are ready for the big game.

The preparations are complete - it is time for action, Sunday September 11 at 2:40pm at the MCG.
