Carlton captain Chris Judd not only took Charlie home last night, but the Judd-man also became the worldwide number one trending topic on the social-networking site Twitter.
 
Trending topics reflect which newsworthy items are occupying most people's attention on Twitter at any one time, and shortly after the 2010 Brownlow Medallist’s stunning string of five best-on-grounds, the term “Judd” topped the worldwide trend list and held firm until well after the count was finished - knocking off the Pope in the process!

Hundreds of thousands of viewers tuned into the Ten Network’s medal count, and continued the Brownlow discussion on Twitter. Not to be outdone, Blues fans flocked to Carlton’s Official Facebook page last night to pass on their congratulations to “Juddy”.
