Future Socceroos Goalkeeper Alex Cisak was a welcome visitor to a Carlton training session at Visy Park recently.

Originally from Tasmania, Cisak plays for Oldham Athletic in English Football’s League One Division and is a very keen Carlton supporter. At 22 years of age he is regarded as one of the top five goalkeepers for his age in the English leagues and has a big future ahead.

Cisak’s Manager Michael Soszynski said Alex was very much in demand in England with more than 20 Premier League and Championship clubs showing interest in recruiting him.

“It is an exciting time for Alex with so much interest from a number of clubs and he is also due to gain his first taste of Socceroos experience later this year,” Soszynski said.

While his career looks to have a very exciting future, Cisak was excited to have the opportunity to see the Carlton players train and view the facilities at Visy Park and took time out to exchange guernseys with Andrew Walker during his visit.

“I really appreciated the opportunity to see the team train and to see the great facilities the players have at the ground and it was good to catch up with Andrew Walker for a brief chat following the training session,” Cisak said.

The next step is a Carlton game for Cisak before he heads back to England to resume his career.

“Brett Ratten has invited me to be a guest at a game before I head back to England so I will be sure to be back in Melbourne to see the Blues in action as soon as I can,” added Cisak.
