Dual Carlton premiership player, Syd Jackson will be joined by lucky Carlton member, 16 year-old Kyle Hogan, to carry the match day football on to the MCG prior to the opening match of the season against Richmond on Thursday night.

Syd is a member of the Carlton Hall of Fame and played 136 games for Carlton between 1969 and 1976. He was a member of Carlton’s 1970 and 1972 premiership sides. Recruited from Western Australian the honour on Thursday night is the start of a memorable weekend for Syd who will be in attendance, along with many other Carlton Hall of Fame Members, at the Hall of Fame Dinner on Saturday night.

Kyle won the opportunity to join Syd to carry the match ball on to the MCG simply by being a 2011 Carlton member. All people who were members by 4:00pm last Friday were in the draw to win this sensational prize.
