JACK Martin keeps on doing it.
The star recruit was once again recognised by the coaches for his Sunday night performance, being recognised as the best player on the ground.
Martin polled eight votes for his showing against the Western Bulldogs, which saw him collect 13 disposals and kick two goals.
It was what Martin did with ball in hand that stood out, contributing nine score involvements — including three goal assists.
He was well supported by a host of Blues, none more so than Ed Curnow.
Tasked with the big role of minding Marcus Bontempelli, Curnow limited the Western Bulldogs captain’s influence while collecting 19 disposals and five centre clearances himself.
The veteran set the tone from the outset, laying Bontempelli in a crunching tackle and kicking a goal from the resultant free kick.
Three forwards rounded out the votes from a Carlton point of view, with Eddie Betts matching his goal tally with coaches’ votes (four).
He was joined by Harry McKay (three goals) and Michael Gibbons (15 disposals, two goals), who polled two votes each.
