Last Thursday, Carlton’s newest supporter group, Young Carlton Professionals (YCP), held their Official Launch Event at Visy Park. YCP is a business networking group aimed at attracting young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs to the Carlton Football Club.
Over 160 passionate Carlton supporters from some of Australia’s largest public and private corporate institutions attended the event as well as current and past players, coaching staff and members of the CFC Board. Andy Maher acted as MC for the night and hosted a Q&A session with an impressive list of speakers, including Carlton President Stephen Kernahan, Senior Assistant Coach Rob Wiley and Vice Captain Andrew Carrazzo.
Ryan Trainor, Carlton’s newest Board member, entrepreneur and member of BRW Young Rich List, later spoke about his professional journey, how his affiliation with the Carlton Football Club was borne and his pathway to the CFC Board.
YCP members also had the opportunity to tour Carlton's new state-of-the-art training facilities and to win some exciting door prizes including a fully signed CFC jumper and the match jumper that Andrew Carrazzo wore in the NAB Cup Grand Final which he signed for the lucky winner on the night.
The event was a great success and we envisage that YCP will provide a lot of benefit to its members and to the Carlton Football Club going forward.
