OVERVIEW
In a season marred by injury and suspension, Eddie Betts was only able to conjure up 27 goals from his 18 games in 2013. But the livewire forward showed his class in Carlton’s thrilling Elimination Final win, booting three crucial majors.
After 184 games and 290 goals in the navy blue jumper, Betts decided to leave Visy Park at the end of 2013 after receiving a lucrative offer to join the Adelaide Crows, under the AFL’s free agency rules.
