It was football's take on "This Is Your Life", and the players didn't see it coming.
Carlton's Heath Scotland, Marc Murphy and Andrew Walker all achieved new milestones in Sunday's win over Port Adelaide.
Scotland notched up his 250th AFL match, Murphy and Walker their 150th.
Before the match, as the players went into their team meeting, familiar but unexpected faces appeared.
The player's families made a surprise visit, to pay tribute to their achievements.
Carlton Captain Marc Murphy says it was a shock to see his father John in the rooms, but it made the occasion even more special.
"It was a great moment because obviously your family, and your partners are so important. For them to come in and acknowledge the guys, it was a great moment and it's something that I'm sure the other two boys will remember as well."
After the win, Carlton President Stephen Kernahan took time out from the celebrations to honour the players, saying it's a magnificent achievement.
"We've had three significant milestones today for the Carlton Football Club, not every player gets to play 150 or 250 games."
The three milestone players were each presented with a match-day football, and received a warm round of applause from their team-mates.
