Carlton could regain a number of players from injury for Friday night's blockbuster against Essendon at the MCG.
Chris Judd, Kane Lucas, Rob Warnock and Andrew McInnes will all be tested at training this week.
Judd was a late withdrawal from Saturday's clash with the Giants.
Carlton's General Manager of Football Andrew McKay says the star midfielder is making good progress in his recovery from a tight hamstring.
"We are encouraged by the way Chris has pulled up after the weekend. If he gets through training this week then he will line up against the Bombers."
Lucas is looking to return from a hamstring strain, and Warnock is recovering well from a knock to the knee.
Meanwhile, the long road to recovery may be nearing the end for McInnes, who hasn't played since suffering a serious knee injury in August last year.
