Reviewing last week's game against Casey, Blues Coach Luke Webster says that after a slow start, the players fought back.
"I thought the boys played really good footy. We got ourselves back in the contest and made use of the ball really well."
With the long awaited return of Andrew Carazzo, Webster says he provided the team with good direction.
"We managed him through the game really well. He had twenty odd touches and showed some really good stuff in and around the clearance work. The leadership and the effort he provided was really good."
Looking ahead to Sunday's game, the boys look forward to taking on Essendon at their home ground.
"Preparations have been really good. Obviously we have reviewed the game on the weekend and spoke about some of the areas that we can improve on. We know we are doing a lot right, however the are still some areas that we can tinker and improve."
