Carlton’s Lachie Henderson says he’s expecting a tough contest from his old team when the two sides meet on Saturday at the Gabba.
The Blues have trained at Visy Park today ahead of their round nine clash with Brisbane.
Both sides are coming off a win. Carlton beat Port Adelaide, while the Lions pulled off an upset against Essendon.
Henderson says his side can’t afford to allow lapses in concentration to creep back into their game this weekend, while he expects the Blues defenders will have their work cut out, as Lions skipper Jonathan Brown tries to shrug off the critics.
“You don’t want to right off Jonathan Brown because he’s shown what he does when you right him off. He’s a great player and has been a great player for a very long time, so I think Jamo (Michael Jamison) is going to have his hands full this week."
Meanwhile Henderson has smiled at suggestions that his impressive form has seen him being compared to Geelong defender Harry Taylor.
“That’s a nice one, because Harry Taylor’s a very good footballer.”
