On the Spot with Dennis Armfield
Not far off playing his 100th game, Dennis Armfield opens up to carltonfc.com.au.
On the ground he is a spectacular midfielder; whilst off the ground he likes visiting Mexico, studying podiatry and listening to "music".
We caught up with Armfield and put him On the Spot.
Your number one fashion tip?
I'm the worst person to ask about fashion. I'm not really into fashion. I like to change things up. My fashion advice is don't follow the trends.
Your favourite place that you have been on holiday?
Probably Cancun in Mexico. It was part of a footy trip that we all went on about three years ago. It was pretty good fun – footy trips are always fun.
What are you listening to on your iPod?
Music (laughs). Probably music that you would hear on Triple J.
When you are not at the Club, what are you doing?
Flying out to La Trobe Uni where I am studying podiatry. It's a four year degree. I am studying part-time at the moment, so I'll be probably be about 80 years old when I finish.
If you weren't playing AFL, what would you be doing?
I'd probably be a concreter. Before I was playing footy, that's what I was doing. I would have hopefully worked my way up the ranks by now, form a labourer to a concreter.
