OVERVIEW
After opening the year in Round 1 against Richmond, Nick Duigan had to wait until Round 22 for another opportunity in Carlton’s senior side. In total, he made five senior appearances for the season, but was a standout in the Elimination Final against Richmond with a four-goal haul.
Duigan is an integral part of Carlton’s leadership group and off the field he makes a significant contribution to the community, particularly with refugees. He established the High Rise Program, aimed at minimising risky behaviour among youth in the Carlton area. Duigan’s efforts were recognised on Carlton’s John Nicholls Medal night, with the 29-year-old receiving the Player Ambassador Award.
