CARLTON has made two changes to its team for Saturday night’s clash with Geelong.
Tom Williamson will play his first senior game of 2020, while Jack Silvagni returns to the line-up after missing last week through illness.
It will be just Williamson’s third game since his debut year of 2017, having had his last two seasons curtailed by a back injury.
The dashing defender - who is a direct replacement for the injured Nic Newman - put his hand up with a strong showing in last week’s reserves scratch match at Ikon Park.
Joining him as an inclusion will be Silvagni, who kicked two goals against reigning premier Richmond back in Round 1.
Silvagni replaces former Cat Darcy Lang (omitted) in the line-up.
In his 100th AFL game, Jack Martin has been named on-ball alongside Ed Curnow and fellow West Australian Patrick Cripps.
Lang joins Matthew Kennedy and first-year Blues Josh Honey and Sam Philp as emergencies. Saturday’s game begins at 7:40pm AEST.
The reserves side will take on Geelong in a scratch match from 3pm on Saturday.
