Assistant coach John Barker has selected this week’s Plays of the Day from Carlton’s Round 20 win over the Gold Coast. 

First up, Barker has highlighted the team’s defensive pressure early in the first quarter, which resulted in Jarrad Waite scooping up the ball inside 50 and getting a clear run at goal. 

Next it was debutant Ciaran Sheehan’s time to shine. 

Sheehan intercepted the ball on the wing, took a bounce and then kicked to Gibbs who marked right in front of goal. 

Finally, Tom Bell uses his size to charge through the pack and shrug off his opponents before finishing with a goal from right in front.
