Carlton players, staff and supporters took to Twitter last night in a display of unity ahead of Sunday's match against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
Just after 5pm many chose to upload a post that simply read #UNITED.
It took just nine minutes for the hashtag to be trending in Melbourne.
Carlton’s GM- Digital, Media & Brand Jay Allen said the message was about sticking together through what has been a tough start to the season.
“The players, coaches and staff want our members and supporters to know, that no matter what we are all in this together,” Allen said.
“The only way to turn things around is to unite and get behind our proud football club.”
The hashtag #UNITED will feature on Carlton's match-day banner this weekend.
