Carlton assistant coach John Barker has selected the Plays of the Day from the Round 1 clash with Port Adelaide. 

First up is Chris Yarran, who lights up the turf as he tears through the midfield and snaps a goal on the run. 

Next, Jarrad Waite leaps over the top of Port's Jarman Impey to take a huge grab directly in front of goal.

Finally, the team has been praised for its defensive pressure in a play that forced a turnover and saw Jeff Garlett combine with Bryce Gibbs for a goal.
