Bryce Gibbs
Career-high 15 tackles
Bryce Gibbs eclipsed his previous career-high for tackles by three in another dominant performance. The midfielder, who is arguably in career-best form, had 10 tackles in the first half to finish with 15, while also leading all players for pressure acts (30). It was another complete performance from Gibbs, who is averaging 34 disposals, eight tackles and just under two goals a game over the past five weeks.
Liam Jones
Game-high 7 intercept marks
Liam Jones' intercept work was nothing short of phenomenal, recording a game-high seven intercept marks - five of thos contested. To put this into perspective, no other player had more than two intercept marks. Since starting his renaissance as a defender, Jones has barely conceded in his head-to-head battles, keeping Jonathon Patton, Tom Lynch (Gold Coast), Jack Riewoldt and Taylor Walker to a combined total of just six goals.
Charlie Curnow
Game-high 91% disposal efficiency
Charlie Curnow had the Carlton faithful in raptures, recording 22 disposals, a goal and four contested marks in his best performance of his short career. Most impressive, however, was his game-high 91 percent disposal efficiency, proving just how clean the 20-year-old was under pressure.
Patrick Cripps
Game-high 19 contested possessions
After a restricted pre-season, Patrick Cripps is well and truly in the groove now. The midfield bull tied with Adelaide's Matt Crouch for clearances (nine), but topped all players for contested possessions with 19. Three of those came from contested marks in a testament to his improved aerial ability, while he was able to hit the scoreboard with two majors when deployed up forward.
Levi Casboult
Equal game-high 5 contested marks
Nothing could get through Levi Casboult's vice-like grip, with the big man taking a season-high five contested marks. He had to work hard for his possessions, with 72 percent of his marks contested. He is now ranked fourth across the competition for total contested marks.
