The intra-club match provided a good hit out for the Blues last Friday and now it is time to take on not one, but two, other AFL teams in the NAB Cup.

Carlton’s 2012 NAB Cup campaign commences this Sunday, February 27, against Adelaide and Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in what is the second week of round one of the NAB Cup.

The Blues first match will be against Port Adelaide, commencing at 2:40pm (South Australian time) followed by the game against Adelaide at 3:45pm. A squad of 34 players for the two matches will be announced on Thursday.

The two matches on Sunday will be shortened games, comprising two 20-minute halves with a third game between Adelaide and Port Adelaide to follow the Blues second match against the Crows.

Fox Footy will broadcast the Carlton matches live around Australia and radio coverage of the games will be provided by SEN in Melbourne and 5AA and Triple M in Adelaide. The Carlton website and social media pages will also have coverage of the two games from AAMI Stadium.

This is the first of three rounds of the NAB Cup with Carlton playing the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium in round 2 and Brisbane Lions at Maroochydore in round 3. These two matches will be full games. All matches in the three rounds will count equally for four points and percentage, with the two best-performed teams over the opening three rounds to compete in the NAB Cup Grand Final on Saturday March 17.

The 16 clubs not involved in the NAB Cup Grand Final will play NAB Cup matches on Friday and Saturday March 16 & 17 in various metropolitan cities across the country.
