The 2011 Carlton Members survey has given the Club’s membership department some great insight in to what members like, dislike, want changed, and want to remain the same.
Not surprisingly, 68 per cent of members said would prefer to sign up online. The Club recognises that in the past this has not been a great user experience - with only 20 per cent of members choosing this option in 2011.
With the launch of iamcarlton.com.au - this will become the membership destination for all Blues supporters, with the new membership website due to launch at the start of November this year - providing users a great user experience and an easy and simple way of pledging their allegiance to their club. That said, we’ll still provide a number of ways to join the Blues, like by mail and over the phone, we just want to make it easier.
The Club’s membership department also learned that members most value their members scarf, members hat and membership card. The Club is going to provide quality rather than quantity in our 2012 Membership fulfilment pack (the members scarf and hat are really cool) - and are currently working on a very exciting project regarding members cards. More on that another day!
There will simpler membership categories in 2012 and a few new categories to help more members enjoy being part of the Club. 72 per cent of members said they were happy with the service they had got from the Club’s membership department. While this is good, 10 per cent said it could use improvement and the Club’s membership team realise this is something we need to continue to improve on.
It’s an exciting time at the Blues and the Club want to ensure that as many members as possible can enjoy being part of this great Club.
