The finishing touches are being completed to the four-bedroom, double storey 6-star energy rated home that will be auctioned as a fundraiser to aid The Northern Hospital. The Carlton Football Club is pleased to be working with VicUrban, The Northern Hospital and Orbit Homes in this exciting community project.
The home, situated in the Aurora housing development in Epping North in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, is part of the most sustainable housing development of its kind in Australia.
On Sunday Carlton mascot, Captain Carlton, made a special visit to the house to help promote the charity auction that will take place on Saturday September 13th. Monies raised from the auction of the house will allow The Northern Hospital to purchase additional equipment. The population growth in the north of Melbourne means The Northern Hospital plays and even greater importance as a key public healthcare provider in the region.
The home will be open for inspection at Aurora in Epping North on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September between 1:00 and 2:00pm and again on Wednesday September 10th between 5:00 and 6:00pm.
The fundraising auction will be held on Saturday September 13th at 11:30am.
These three pics were taken on-site at the charity auction house at Aurora. In the pics are Trish Pickerd of Lalor and her 10 week old baby Lexi. Lexi suffered a severe gastric virus last week and spent three days recovering in The Northern Hospital this week.
In the background of the photo is the Mayor of Whittlesea, Cr Elizabeth Nealy and Dean Felton, Director, Communications & Marketing, Northern Health
The house and land, provided by VicUrban and Orbit Homes, will be auctioned with no reserve price at 11.30am on Sept 13th, with all proceeds going to The Northern Hospital for the purchase of medical equipment. Inquiries to Nick Petrovski of Stockdale & Leggo Epping, phone 9401 2033.
