Despite the poor record at Casey Fields in the past the Bullants will go into the game confident knowing that the playing stocks are strong. Qualified and available to return to the Bullants team this week are Carlton-listed players Shaun Hampson, Dennis Armfield, Darren Pfeiffer, Cain Ackland, Mark Austin and Joe Anderson.
The 12/10 rule will apply so this will obviously cause some headaches at the selection table as there will be some very handy Carlton-listed players missing on a spot.
Bullants General Manager, Garry O'Sullivan, is also buoyed by the depth of the Bullants-listed players heading into this finals series, "In the past it was probably quite easy to pick the first six or seven Bullants players but then it dropped off a bit. This season fortunately, I think there will be four or five Bullants-listed players that will be genuinely stiff not to be playing finals."
Having finished the season in eighth spot, the Bullants must continue to win to keep its season alive. If the Bullants do win on Saturday then all eyes will be on the match between Port Melbourne and Werribee on Sunday, the Ants facing the loser the following week.
The Northern Bullants encourage all supporters to make the trip to Casey Fields to support the boys in this do-or-die match.
