NAB Cup scrapped
The AFL has announced a new-look pre-season for 2014, abolishing the NAB Cup.
In its place, the NAB Challenge will see 18 matches played consecutively across 18 days around the country.
Each club will play in two matches in the lead up to the home-and-away season.
Carlton's set for showdowns with North Melbourne and the Adelaide Crows.
The first match will be a twilight game against the Kangaroos on Saturday 15 February at North Ballarat.
Carlton's second pre-season encounter will see the Blues take on the Crows at Etihad Stadium on the night of Monday 24 February.
Both matches will be televised on Foxtel.
