“The Community Camp is something we look forward to every year because it gives us the chance to be involved with local communities,” he said.??
“We don’t often have the opportunity to meet our supporters in the regional areas, so the camp is an important way for us to further promote our Club as well as the AFL.”? ?
Prior to the draft as we now know it, Bendigo was a Carlton designated recruiting zone.?
“The Club has a great historic connection with the Bendigo, I know a number of Carlton premiership players from back in the day were recruited from that region so it will be great to be back there and meet our fans," he said.? ?
The Australia Post AFL Community Camp is part of a national program that will see all AFL Clubs visit communities across Australia, giving locals the opportunity to get close to the AFL at the highest level.??Carlton is scheduled to visit Bendigo on February 7th and 8th.
