Carlton fan favourite Dennis Armfield has inked a new one-year deal, keeping him in the Navy Blue until at least the end of season 2016.
Armfield has played 125 games for Carlton since being recruited with a third-round draft pick in the 2007 National Draft.
At the 2015 Brownlow Medal the 28-year-old speedster was recognised for his work in the community, being awarded the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award.

This year Armfield also qualifies for Carlton Life Membership.
Carlton’s Head of Football Andrew McKay says Armfield’s contract extension is testament to his “team-first” mentality.
“Dennis is the kind of person who puts his heart into everything he does, both on the track and away from it,” McKay said.
“At the club he leads by example with his inclusiveness and the way he approaches training, while in the community he sets a tremendous example through his involvement at the Royal Children’s Hospital and with Odyssey House Victoria.”
