“There’s heaps of people behind the scenes in the AFL … they all do such amazing things that I never knew about and jobs that I never new existed.”

That’s what one student had to say after spending time at the Carlton Football Club as part of a Work Inspiration program run by Acquire Learning.

Acquire Learning, Carlton’s Learning Partner, recently provided a work placement opportunity for 14 students from The Smith Family.

The three-day program gave students valuable work experience and tips, with a focus on the importance of workplace culture.

As part of the program the students spent time at the Carlton Football Club, where they were given career talks from staff and were able to witness the behind-the-scenes work that goes into professional sporting teams.

The students all enjoyed the experience, describing it as “fun,” “amazing” and “an awesome adventure”.

Acquire Learning is hopeful its Work Inspiration program will give students a better understanding of what they would like to do with their future and ultimately help them determine their career path.
