It’s not a sight Carlton fans want to see – young midfielder Nick Graham walking around in a moon boot.
The 21-year-old has been in sensational form racking up 26 and 24 disposals in his past two games.
While his injury is unfortunate timing, given Graham has strung together some solid performances, the No. 32 is determined he’ll be back soon.
“On Saturday night it started getting a little bit sore towards the end of the game, so I went in and had some scans and it revealed I had a bit of a stress reaction in a little bone in my foot,” Graham said.
“Hopefully it will only be a couple of weeks on the sidelines and I’ll be back out there and ready to go again.”
While he may have suffered a setback Graham says he is feeling good and has received plenty of encouragement from coach John Barker, who has shown a “lot of faith” in him.
“It’s been good for my development and my improvement, obviously this (injury) doesn’t help, but hopefully I can get over this and get back in the ones.
“I’m getting a bit more midfield time as well now which is good, I’m enjoying that time on the ground and not being the sub – I don’t enjoy that too much,” Graham joked.
Graham gunning for quick return
Carlton youngster Nick Graham says he hopes to return from a foot injury in the next fortnight and pick up from where he left off.
