OVERVIEW
Levi Casboult’s reputation as one of the strongest pack marks in the competition continued in 2015.

The 25-year-old played 16 games, kicked 24 goals and finished the year ranked sixth overall in the AFL for contested marks. His accuracy from set shots was shaky at the start of the season, but after working hard with his kicking coach Sav Rocca, Casboult quickly turned it around.

The forward made headlines in August when a young Blues supporter in the crowd, Levi Denton, marked the ball from one of Casboult’s goals and celebrated with a ‘double cobra’.

After meeting his namesake, Casboult stayed true to his word and the following week against Collingwood pulled out the double cobra to celebrate a goal.

Casboult also notched up his 50th AFL game in the navy blue, breaking the Blues record for the most games played in the No. 41 jumper, set by Peter Rohde.

HE SAID IT
"My goalkicking has been very inconsistent and a talking point for a lot of people. (But) Sav's come in and simplified things. I'm kicking straighter so that helps with confidence – I think most people play on confidence.

“A lot of it's my technique not being 100 per cent, so I'm trying to fix that at training and it's just about repetition, so in a game I don't go back to my bad technique."

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
Casboult was nominated for the AFL's Mark of the Year in Round 17 against the Hawthorn. Once again his strong hands proved to be the key, taking a strong pack mark in a cluster of Hawks.
