OVERVIEW
Carlton vice-captain Michael Jamison continued his dependable reputation in 2015.

The 29-year-old held his own in the Blues backline, taking on the opposition’s key forward most weeks.

In Round 4 against the Saints, Jamison injured his calf, which saw him remain on the sidelines for eight weeks before making his way back through the VFL with the Northern Blues.

After two games for Northern, Jamison returned to the senior side in Round 14 to take on the Bulldogs.

One week after his comeback match, the fullback was subject to a head clash with Richmond’s Tyrone Vickery. It saw Jamison subbed out in the first quarter and consequently Vickery was suspended for two matches.

Although he missed eight games, Jamison was ranked third at the Blues for one percenters per game.

HE SAID IT
“You get to a stage in your career where your personal performance or output is superseded by trying to develop the young players and as a leader that’s the most important thing.

“Those guys who played last night know exactly how hard they need to work now and what they need to improve on and that’s a good step for them to take into pre-season.”

- Jamison speaking to SEN in the wake of Round 17’s record-breaking loss to Hawthorn.

THEY SAID IT
“Carlton defender Michael Jamison made an impressive return from a calf injury on limited game time for the Northern Blues in their upset win over the Werribee Tigers at Ikon Park on Saturday. Jamison, who hasn't played an AFL match since round four, played around 60 per cent of the game and managed to restrict North Melbourne's Majak Daw to one goal – which he kicked in the opening half.”

- Brent Diamond from Fairfax summed up Jamison’s performance in his return match for the Northern Blues.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
The Ikon Park cameras caught a special moment for Michael Jamison at training on August 6. The backman took a massive one-handed hanger over Andrew ‘SkyWalker’ himself – and there’s no doubt ‘Jamo’ will be reminding Walker of it for a long time to come!
