On Wednesday morning more than 30 Carlton players will head out and visit 26 primary schools across Melbourne.
Captain Marc Murphy will lead the charge as the players run handball and kicking drills before being quizzed by students.
On his last visit to Holy Name Primary School, backman Sam Rowe was left lost for words after being asked by one little boy about his future retirement plans – it seems children can get away with asking all the tough questions!
Carlton’s Community Officer Adrian Asdagi says school visits help “connect and grow” the Carlton community, as well as advocating positive lifestyle choices.
“Our community visits are important to the club and the players because we want to spread the message of engaging in a healthy and active lifestyle,” he said.
“Football players are role models for young kids, so if they’re active and healthy, it’s likely children will want to emulate this too.”
Aside from primary school Super Clinics, Carlton players will also take part in Auskick clinics and secondary school visits that are coming up later in the season.
