MATTHEW Kreuzer and Caleb Marchbank headline the Blues’ inclusions for Round 16, as Carlton prepares to face Brisbane at The Gabba on Saturday afternoon.
After missing last week’s match against Port Adelaide because of concussion symptoms, Kreuzer will team up with Andrew Phillips to share ruck duties against Stefan Martin.
Defender Marchbank will make his first senior appearance since Round 6 and record his fifth game of the season after recovering from an ankle injury – no doubt bolstering the Blues’ defence as Carlton strives to contain the Lions’ forwards.
Dale Thomas will add experience to the team after serving a week’s suspension, while young defender Lochie O’Brien has also been recalled.
Midfielder Paddy Dow will be managed this week, Jarrod Garlett misses with an ankle injury, while Levi Casboult and Aaron Mullett have both been omitted.
The Blues take on the Lions this Saturday afternoon at The Gabba, with all the action kicking off at 1:45pm.
Meanwhile, the Northern Blues will have a bye in the VFL this weekend.
