Carlton has added the final member to its coaching line-up for 2016, with Josh Fraser named as the coach of the Club’s VFL affiliate the Northern Blues.
Fraser, a veteran of 218 AFL games, has most recently been the senior coach for the Gold Coast Suns’ Reserves in the NEAFL.
The 33-year-old commenced his football career at Collingwood after being recruited with the No. 1 draft pick in the 1999 National Draft.
He played 200 games for the Magpies from 2000-2010, then a further 18 games with the Gold Coast Suns, before retiring from football in 2012.

In 2013, Fraser turned his hand to commentating while studying coaching. He has completed two coaching courses including the Level Two Coaches Course and Next Coach Program.
Carlton’s Head of Football Andrew McKay has welcomed Fraser to the team.
“Josh is a terrific fit for our team as he shares our strong commitment to a team-first approach,” McKay said.
“He has shown that he is keen to learn and wants to develop people, which are key qualities we were looking for to compliment our new coaching panel.”
In addition to coaching the Northern Blues Fraser will take on the role of development coach at Carlton.
