A sell-out crowd of more than 90,000 people will watch Carlton take on Richmond in Sunday's First Elimination Final at the MCG.
At Visy Park, the Blues have been called on to #BELIEVE, with members and supporters getting behind the Carlton players as they embark on their finals campaign.
Carlton's Dennis Armfield says he's looking forward to playing on the September stage.
"It's great to still be playing footy," Armfield said. "Finals football is a different kind of football – it's very contested.
"We're all pretty focused on what we have to do, but we're still managing to enjoy ourselves."
Armfield has tasted finals action before, having played in four finals for the Blues in his 103 AFL games.
The 26-year-old fondly recalls the 2011 Elimination Final, in which Carlton beat the Bombers by 62 points.
"The win against Essendon is a good memory, to come out and do what we did, it was great," Armfield said.
"Now it's a new year and a new opponent – it's going to be a big day."
Carlton has named Chris Judd, Heath Scotland and Brock McLean in an extended 25-man squad.
While Chris Newman, Jack Riewoldt, Matt Dea and Shane Edwards have been named for the Tigers.
Armfield says he's expecting Sunday's game to be a tough one, against a side that was unlucky not to finish in the top four.
"Richmond is playing some really good football," Armfield said. "We have played each other twice this year, with one win each.
"The Tigers are a great side and they've got some great players, but we're ready for the challenge, that's for sure."
As for any pre-game butterflies, Armfield says he's trying to control them by keeping his build-up just like any other week.
And to his teammates playing in a final for the first time, Armfield has this message:
"Remember to enjoy it and play as hard as you can – because only one team will get to back it up next week."
