CARLTON defender Lachie Plowman has suffered a blow to the knee in the second quarter of today’s match against Collingwood.
The mishap occurred during a marking contest where Collingwood's Josh Thomas was accidentally pushed into Plowman’s right knee.
Plowman was stretchered off the ground, with his afternoon over.
He suffered bone bruising and a potential medial ligament injury, but the club won't know the full extent of his injury until he has scans in the coming days.
Plowman's setback added to an already tough afternoon for the Blues on the injury front, who lost Levi Casboult to a broken finger in the warm-up.
Lachie Plowman was taken off the ground on a cart after injuring his right leg.
