The Carlton Football Community Fund and Carlton IT department have donated 20 computers to the Carlton Online, Opportunities and Learning (C.O.O.L).  

The program it aims to build the Carlton community's IT knowledge, and ability to participate in Australian society's ever increasing interest and dependence on computers.

In particular it is aimed at those in the Carlton community who have not previously had the opportunities to engage with IT which includes public housing tenants, the elderly and recently arrived migrant communites (mainly the African Australian community).  

“We hope the computers can contribute to the Carlton community - especially when we know computers are such a big part of everyday life” said Carlton midfielder Marc Murphy.

The program will provide the potential to benefit the local housing community which comprises of over 4000 tenants in Carlton and North Carlton. The initiative has been a collaboration of the City of Melbourne, Department of Human Services and the University of Melbourne.
