More than 80 international students from RMIT University were given an insight into Melbourne's unique football culture this week.
As part of Carlton Football Club's New Blue program, students from all over the world were taught the basics of AFL for the very first time.
The program aims to promote social inclusion among Melbourne's international students, by getting them involved in our football culture.
Carlton's Fan Development and Diversity Co-orindator Ned Murphy says it's a fantastic way for international students to take part in a uniquely Australian experience.
"Thousands of international students study in Australia each year and our New Blue program will hopefully help them to understand all they need to know about Aussie Rules,” Murphy said.
“It’s a great way to get them involved in a social activity, and help make them feel more a part of our community."
