Visy Park will welcome ten teams from eight Primary Schools from around Victoria for the final of the 2010 AFL Multicultural Cup on Wednesday December 1st as part of the Carlton Football Club community support.

The Carlton Football Club is proud to host the final as part of the Carlton and AFL Multicultural Program in conjunction with the five other clubs; Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn, Essendon, Collingwood and Richmond, involved in this community based AFL program.

Visy Park will be divided into four smaller grounds for the Multicultural Cup with nine players on each team and each game consisting of two, ten minute halves. Each team will play four games during the day with the winners to be decided by number of wins, and percentage, if required. The rules for the matches are similar to Auskick rules with no tackling.

There are two competitions, one for boys and one for girls.

The focus of the carnival is fun and maximum participation and schools in the competition have been encouraged to enter teams within the spirit of the AFL Multicultural Schools Program (children from multicultural backgrounds should make up the majority, if not all, of the players).
