Schools play for Multicultural Cup
The Carlton Football Club in conjunction with the AFL invited four local primary schools to Visy Park for the inaugural Multicultural Cup.
The event a final component to the 6 week Multicultural Program running at the club. The program uses Australian football to further engage and integrate newly arrived migrants and refugees in to the community.
The round robin event hosted 8 teams (girls and boys) all playing for a spot in the state finals. In the end Brunswick South West Primary school were too good taking out the day for both the girls and boys division.
Brunswick South West Primary School will now play in the state finals, competing against other schools from Collingwood, Western Bulldogs, Richmond and Hawthorn’s Multicultural Programs.
The Carlton Football Club would like to thank all involved in the day- SEDA, the schools, teachers and parents and the AFL.
