Earlier this week Carlton players spent the afternoon visiting a number of high schools and junior football clubs situated throughout Melbourne's northern corridor.
During their visits the players hosted a range of football drills and skills sessions, particularly focusing on kicking, hand-balling and tackling.
The boys also responded to many questions relating to healthy eating, training programs and leadership.
Carlton defender Simon White stresses the importance of AFL clubs engaging in grassroots football.
"Junior football is something that we have all been involved in at some stage," said White.
"I remember AFL players visiting my junior football club when I was a kid.
"It left a really positive impression with me, so it's important that we can provide a similar experience to the students of today."
