The Blues celebrated World Harmony Day on Thursday with a free footy clinic at the Carlton Housing Estate.

Blues representatives put the Estate's children through kicking and handballing drills, chatted to them about the season ahead and offered plenty of giveaways throughout the afternoon.

Harmony Day celebrates cultural diversity and encourages respect, equality and inclusion for all people regardless of race, age, gender or religious beliefs.

The Carlton Football Club will be even more involved with the Carlton Housing Estate community in 2012 with the launch of "Nick Duigan High Rise Footy".

The program, run through the Carlton Community Fund and Multicultural Program, is an 11 week after school program that sets out to promote healthy eating and positive behaviour. Victoria Police and Carlton Primary School are both involved in the program.

Nick Duigan High Rise Footy is set to commence on April 18.
