Carlton players will help celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by joining e.motion21 at Federation Square this Friday 21 March.
The not-for-profit organisation e.motion21 is delivering an Australian-first dance and fitness program, which has been specifically designed for young people with Down syndrome. The organisation’s passionate volunteers are dedicated to changing perceptions of disability – their motto: moving bodies and moving boundaries.
This Friday’s public event, hosted by Todd McKenney, aims to raise awareness by celebrating the abilities and achievements of people with Down syndrome through performance and film.
Carlton vice-captain Kade Simpson will be joined by teammates Dennis Armfield, Sam Docherty, Ciaran Byrne, Ciaran Sheehan and Tom Temay.
It’s all happening this Friday 21 March at Federation Square from midday.
